B. V. Bhedasgaonkar is educated in B. Tech.
(Civil) I.I.T. Bombay in 1977, First Class
with Distn. He further was honoured 1st
Rank M. Eng. (Structures) from A.I.T Bangkok
in 1979.
He worked with Tata
consulting Engineers, Mumbai from
1979 to 1981 as Assistant Engineer, for
Design.
Projects Worked
On:
Trombay 500 MW Power Plant,Pasir
Gudang Malaysia, Power Stn., Textile Mills
in Tanzania, Indonesia,
Development of various computer Programs.
He further worked with MC-Bauchemie
, West Germany from 1982 to 1986
in Germany, Iraq and Kuwait as Resident
Engineer.
Works done:
Technical Services and marketing
of special building chemical products, Executing
structural rehabilitation works on major
engineering projects of international companies
in West Germany, Iraq and Kuwait.
From 1986 onwards he started
his own consultancy firm where he has extensive
working experience in the field of rehabilitation
of corrosion and structurally damaged structures.
In many cases the entire work has been handled
on turn - key basis. Scope of activities
involves, Assessment of damage, assessing
the causes damage, suggesting the structural
scheme to cater for excess load or extreme
external environment to the structure. Executing
the repair & protection work as per
specification. This is supplemented by pre
and post NDT testing.
Structural repair and
protection problems handled include reservoirs
and tanks, bridges & jetties, machine
foundations, water supply systems, chemical
and fertilizer plants, corrosion damaged
marine structures, basements, shell roofs,
sugar factories, thermal power plants.
